Commercial Security Lock for Sliding Glass Doors

Commercial Security Lock for Sliding Glass Doors

The manufacturers of Lockking Sliding Glass Door Lock have developed a new version of the Original Residential Model.

The New Commercial Model will work for both Residential and Commercial applications.

The main difference is the initial adjustment made with a button screw by using an hex wrench, also supplied, is on the bottom track helping to make the Lock Tamper Proof.

Included with the Security Lock is a hex wrench for adjusting the button screw, screws for the brackets, as an option, and a Stoplock for added security.

The mounting brackets are pre-drilled for screws to use as an option mainly in Commercial applications.

As with all the Lockking Sliding Glass Door Lock,  3M VHB™ double coated Industrial Grade acrylic foam tape with super high bond adhesive secures the security bar to the sliding glass door and the jamb.

The Self Adjusting, Articulating Security Bar is constructed of Aircraft Grade Aluminum and Made in USA.

The Lockking Sliding Glass Door Lock and Window Lock come in White, Black and Stainless Steel.

It is a great addition to the line, it will give Commercial business's the same Quality and Security as the former Residential Model, and will also be tamper proof .

How to Raise a Sliding Glass Door

How To Raise Up a Sliding Glass Door

Adjustment for sliding glass door

Before installing a Lockking Sliding Glass Door Lock the sliding door should be raised up and still slide easily.  This will keep a burglar on the outside from pushing up on the sliding door and unlatching most factory latches.

To do this you will need the right kind of screwdriver, either a Philips or slot driver.  By looking in the hole at the bottom edge of the sliding door you can determine which screw driver will work.

There is a roller adjustment screw on both sides of the door.

By inserting the screwdriver into the adjustment screw in the door you can raise or lower the door.

Raise one side a little and then the other in order to keep the edge of the sliding door aligned with the side jamb.  If it seems too hard to turn the screw you might need a friend to lift that edge of the door to take the weight off of the adjustment roller.

Try to keep the handle side of the sliding door parallel to edge as in the following illustration.

Sliding glass Door Added Security with Stoplock

Sliding glass Door Added Security with Stoplock

Lockking Stoplock

The Stoplock is for use on Lockking Sliding Glass Door Lock and Window Lock.

The Stoplock for Sliding Glass Doors is designed to keep a burglar from tampering with the Security Lock from the outside.

Most sliding doors have a security stop between the sliding door and the fixed glass door where they overlap so some kind of device can't be inserted between the doors and tamper with a security lock.

On older sliding glass doors this security stop may not be there or functional.

When a Pet Door Panel is installed in sliding glass door the manufacturers security stop is ineffective.

The Stoplock is an addition to Lockking Sliding Glass Door Lock to help any tampering.

-Stoplock fits on top of bar and can be removed

-To use slide it over the box channel and tighten knob

-Stoplock slides out of the way when not in use

Stoplock is included with each Lockking Sliding Glass Door Lock and Window Lock
